Junior Schools Entrepreneur Programme, Cork, January, 2014
In January, Sean addressed some of the 28 schools and 743 pupils who participated in this¬†Year‚Äôs Junior Entrepreneur Programme in Cork. ¬†This is a not for profit initiative¬†developed by Kerry Entrepreneur Jerry Kennelly and supported by Mary¬†Immaculate College, Limerick. ¬†The programme introduces primary school¬†pupils to entrepreneurship at a young age. This year‚Äôs programme in Cork¬†was sponsored by Jim Barry, MD of the Barry Group and coordinated¬†by Niamh Barry. Some of the schools included Scoil Chill Ruagh√°in,¬†Glanmire , John the Baptist, Midleton, and St. Mary‚Äôs National School,¬†Cobh.

On 31st January, Sean joined Senator Lorraine Higgins and Michelle Frawley to launch the¬†Next Step Network, an innovative support network for small business¬†owners who are looking to grow and develop their businesses to the¬†next step. There was plenty of energy at this event and many positive and inspiring¬†stories from new and existing businesses.

Sean was delighted to have been part of the Dragon Den and Investor Panels at¬†this year‚Äôs ITLG event in University of Limerick and Limerick Institute¬†of Technology. ¬†Sean worked with John Hartnett of ITLG and SV Partners¬†in California and Cian Hughes in Dublin, to select exciting companies¬†to pitch to investors and VC‚Äôs in Silicon Valley later this year.
