Wexford Chamber Business Lunch
Delighted to have been the guest peaker at The Wexford Chamber and Wexford Council Business Lunch on Friday 16th February. There was a great turnout at the event and Wexford is clearly a town on the rise in the areas of jobs, tourism and infrastructure!¬† I’d like to wish the new President, Niall Reck,¬†Wexford Chamber¬†and Wexford County Council the best of luck with all their exciting plans.

Women’s Inspire Network – 11th April 2018, Connacht Hotel, Galway
I’m delighted to have been invited to speak at the Women’s Inspire Network event which takes place in Galway on April 11th 2018.
The theme of the event is ‘Claim your space and own it’ and I will be speaking to “Success leaves clues – Lessons from Ireland’s most inspiring entrepreneurs” .¬† Over the past five years I have interviewed more than 250 entrepreneurs for my article in the Sunday Independent and I will share some fascinating insights about what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.¬† Female entrepreneurs make up a key component of Ireland’s burgeoning entrepreneurial community and I am delighted to support this event.

Trinity College Entrepreneurial Dragon’s Den Final: 8th Feb 2018
I was delighted to take part as a judge at the Trinity Entrepreneurial Society‚Äôs¬† Dragons’ Den Final on February 8th.¬† At this event, 6 teams of entrepreneurs pitched their business ideas to a panel of five judges to win a prize fund of ‚ā¨10,000.
I was joined on the judging panel by:

- Alison Cowzer, RTE Dragon, entrepreneur and co-founder of East Coast Bakehouse

St Patrick‚Äôs College Cavan School Reunion
I was honoured to be invited to launch the St Patrick’s College Cavan School Reunion, which is due to take place in the college on Sunday 6th May 2018.
A great event, the proceeds from which will go towards the maintenance of the iconic Hague Building which housed the former St. Patrick’s College and is now the home of the Diocesan Pastoral Centre and the development of pastoral initiatives in the diocese.
In attendance were the Bishop and many past teachers and students as well as those involved in the work of the Pastoral Centre.

Celebrating Excellence – Business Networking Lunch
I was delighted to deliver the keynote address entitled ‘Success Leaving Clues’ at this gathering of over 150 business leaders, elected representatives, innovators, government agency representatives and young entrepreneurs to celebrate entrepreneurship and innovation in Kildare and to announce the winners of Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur (IBYE) Kildare Region.
This inspiring event took place at the lovely Kilkea Castle, Co. Kildare and was superbly well organised by the Kildare Local Enterprise Office Team.

Honoured to Chair the recent Careers of the Future Conference organised by the South East Regional Skills Forum. Opened by Dr Patricia Mulcahy, President of the Carlow Institute of Technology¬† and Chairperson of the South East Regional Skills Forum, the conference was attended by over 140 Career Guidance Counsellors and consisted of 7 interactive panel discussions on sectors including Agri/Food, Construction, Engineering / manufacturing, Financial Services, Hospitality, ICT, Pharma & Medtech. Excellent opportunity to explore future job, education and training opportunities in each of these growing sectors.
Ambassador for NCBI’s Cycle into Light, July – August 2017
Sean is delighted to be ambassador for NCBI‚Äôs (National Council for the Blind) Cycle of Light, Dublin‚Äôs first night cycle, where participants will cycle into the darkness to raise funds for the work of NCBI.
“We all need to be grateful for our sight and be aware of people who are are not ad fortunate as we are. Having been born with congenital cataracts, I understand, the challenges that sight difficulties can bring but I have also seen first hand the great work NCBI do, working with and on behalf of those who are blind of have sight loss / impairment. Please support this worthy cause”.
